Distributing your external app to the App Store

The true value of a mobile app is unlocked only when it reaches the hands of your users on their preferred platforms. That's why in Starion, we offer you a feature that will enable you to distribute your Starion-created apps through the Apple App Store. With this distribution feature, you can expect to publish your Starion apps directly to the Apple App Store with a simplified process, making your apps easily accessible to iOS users through the App Store.

Setting-up

  • From Dashboard, open the settings of your external app

  • Find and click on "App Store."

  • Enter the App Bundle ID that Apple provides.

  • Configure the management on Code signing setup

  • Click "Done" to save and start your first build

Code signing management

When developing an iOS app, you must sign your code digitally. This ensures that it hasn't been tampered with or altered since it was signed. In Starion, we offer you 2 options for code signing management: let Starion manage for you or choose to manage things independently.

To sign your code, you need a digital certificate. Choosing the type of code signing management is how you want to manage the certificates for your app built on the App Store.

You can ensure security when choosing the option to let Starion manage it for you. All your confidential data is encoded so no one, even Starion's developers, can see it.

Getting app build

From the page of app build management,

  • Click "Build App

  • Fill in the necessary information: the number of app versions and a description of what's new about this version.

  • Click "Start Build"

In the list of builds, you can follow the status of each. Once the status is "Completed", you can download the app file with the format (.ipa) and upload it to the App Store.

Once Apple completes the app review, your app will be public and accessible to all iOS users.
