New map components

We just made our collection of components more wealthy by adding 2 components for the map view on data of address or location. They are Map and Map View. What's the difference between these two?

  • Map is for viewing the location with the view on Apple's Map integrated in your page. Your users can directly zoom in or zoom out, or adjust to other nearby area with this components.

  • Map View is also a map with address or location is pinned. However, the difference is that your users can tap on components or the directing arrow button to open the Google Map and get the direction.

Improvements

Custom ratio for image on Collection pages

To maximize the customization of your app design, we have added a feature that allows you to adjust the image ratio of items in the collection page. Your original photo file will be cropped to fit the chosen ratio, so you can be sure that your images will always look their best.

Full-screen view for item list in Map layout

From this update, your users now can drag up the item/address list to view more in the full screen. We believe this can bring so much advantages in improving the user experience. No more squinting or scrolling through half of the screen! This improvement provides your users with a larger and more comprehensive view of the items or addresses, making it easier to navigate and work with them.

Specify the keyboard type

We believe that this feature can powerfullty add even more convenience and efficiency to your app-building journey. Now your app can now specify the default keyboard type for input fields based on the type of data required. Whether it's a numeric keypad for entering numbers, a standard keyboard for general text input, or a specialized keyboard for email addresses or phone numbers, the default keyboard type will automatically adapt to the data input field. By streamlining the data entry process, you can enhance the user experience and ensure smoother interactions within your app.

Upload media from local storage onto to App Editor for app designing

In the past, creators had to provide a link to the media for editing or data viewing within the app. But now, with our latest update, you can directly upload media from your local device. This means you can effortlessly incorporate images, videos, and other media right into your app, without the hassle of external links. It puts you in full control, allowing you to manage and personalize your media assets seamlessly. Say goodbye to the time-consuming process of sourcing media from external platforms.

View in-app media when being offline

Previously, a reliable internet connection was required to access media within the app. However, with our latest advancement, Starion now supports offline viewing of in-app media. By saving media content to the device's cache, users can seamlessly enjoy images, videos, and other media even when they are disconnected from the internet. This feature empowers your app's users to stay engaged and entertained, regardless of their connectivity status. Whether they are on the go, in remote areas, or experiencing network limitations, they can continue to access and enjoy the in-app media content.

This update also introduces the ability to view and download images within the Image & Carousel components. With this enhancement, users can now not only view images but also have the option to download them directly from the app. This new feature provides added convenience and flexibility, allowing users to access and save images for future reference or offline use.
